Five years ago, a large meteor crashed in central New York. No one knows how the government didn't know. They didn't see how they couldn't. The thing took up a whole city block. Dust and debris everywhere, people screaming, crying, looking for loved ones. A lot of people had died...others suffered severe injuries. Some even got extremely sick, though no one knew how or why.
A year after, people began getting extremely sick. No one knew what the cause of this illness was. Doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to figure it out. Many stayed in the hospital for months, others it was less. And some...never made it out. Those that did began to experience anomalies around themselves. Though that was always true. Even some that got sick never experienced anything at all.
Now, children and adult alike are being hunted for their abilities. G.A.M.A is searching for a "cure-all" to "save" those unfortunate to suffer from this change to their DNA. The meteor is contained under a dome of re-enforced frosted glass.

It had been a hard week going through work and school. But she worked hard for the things she wanted. She wasn't going to have her father buy her way into a degree. Her pride was one thing that kept that from happening. Another part was she knew her father would only do it because her having her nursing degree would be a gold star on his little report card amongst his friends. It was sad really that she was put to these standards, but she wasn't doing this for him. Since the crash of the meteor, everyone's lives had changed, either for the best, or the worst.
Kemper wanted to do something to give back. She couldn't bring back the dead...but she could help heal those still suffering from injuries and recurring pain. It wasn't just the prescription pain killers either. But tonight wasn't about her patience back at the hospital. Not about the snarky co-workers that wanted to leave everything to the little princess of the ward. It was party night, and she was going all out.
Her black dress hugged tight to her body as she stepped out of the taxi. She didn't bother with the line, just walking up to the bouncer. He looked her up and down and smirked letting her in. Her red hair fluttering behind her as she walked into the booming bass of the music. Flashing colored lights hit her vision and she smiled more. This was so her scene.
Her head nodded with the beat of the music as she walked further in. The swaying bodies had her hypnotized. Music tempting like that of a snake charmers flute. She knew the Fallen Angels owned this club. Hell, she's helped them out a bit when needed. It was the only way to keep her mutation a secret. It had been a fluke chance that their leader had seen her healing a poor child in an alleyway.
Heading to the bar she sat and ordered a drink. She was going to have fun and forget her worries for the night.
"You see dear, Our time together has come to an end. I must be freed for bigger and better things." His soft and reassuring tone let out his smiling lips. The audience to his speech just a single woman bound a gagged in the truck of his car. She was struggling and crying as he pulled her body out of the truck into the empty woodlands. Cutting the binding on her hands and feet he watched as she started to run. His nose in the air as he breathed in the scent as the chase was on. The predator in him following the sound of her foot prints as he tapped into a snakes ability to sense heat. The girl didn't have much of a chance to start with as he closed in the distance between them.
That was when a scream was heard and the night fell silent again. Not to long later and carter came out of the woods and to the trunk. Taking a rag he would wipe crimson droplets from his classes. His tongue ran over his lips removing any trace of his meal. Setting the rag on fire he dropped it on the pavement and got into the rental car. Driving back into the city he arrived after night fall in the hunters paradise. The night life had always been good time him when selecting his newest prize. Parking outside he let the valet park his car as he headed inside the loud club. His eyes were already searching for the new doll for his collection.
Moving to the bar he ordered his drink and sat their as his eye scanned the endless sea of women. That is when he finally saw her the redhead entering the club. Everything else faded away as she got closer to him. She ordered her drink and at this point stood inches away with her back turned. His fingers moved toward her hair and he took in the scent before she turned to look at him. He had already with drawn his hand and moved further away. That scent was being programmed into his brain so he could find her no matter where she was.

Getting her drink she took a seat and sat with her back leaning against the bar top. Her eyes scanned the bodies of men and women alike to find a potential person to maybe leave with. But everyone out there seemed to be taken or just dancing with someone else. She felt like she could feel eyes on her, but she just brushed it off.
Her foot tapped with the music, her head bobbing along with it as she sipped her drink. The warmth it gave her body was well needed. Soothing some of the aches and pains she had. That's when someone walked up to her with a smile. "Hey there sexy lady. I couldn't help but see you here all by yourself. WAnt some company on the dance floor?" The smile turned to a smirk as she looked him over and smiled. "Honey, I don't dance with trash." She was harsh as she took another sip from her drink. PLacing it back down behind her she tried ignoring the guy. "What the hell? I was trying to be nice. What's with the bitchiness?" His face turned red from the frustration as she looked over at him.
"Oh, really? Sounded more like you wanted this dress off." She looked at him with a firmer glare. He huffed as she called the guy on his bullshit and he walked away. She gave a smug look at her victory. This was a way she let off her frustrations. Though someone nice to dance with would be a refreshing change. Sighing she took her drink and gulped down the last of it. Maybe getting drunk would make these people more interesting.
